Girl's HOME TO GROW-Pakistan Girl Guides Association(PGGA)
Two days National Executive Committee Meeting
was held at Pearl Continental Muzaffarabad on Sunday to acknowledge the
services of the members of the Pakistan Girl Guides Association (PGGA) and to review
their strategies and set their goals for future.
National
Commissioner Farhana Azim in her opening remarks paid tribute to the members
whose dedication and commitment enabled the association to grow sustainably.
Being a school girl I always think
that girls guide is all about PT shows and camps but recently I met two gorgeous
ladies who are the part Pakistan Girl Guides Association. I had met Ambreen
Sectary PGGA AJK Chapter and had little discussions about the origination. Then
she introduces me with Madam Hanifa Khanum President PGGA AJK Chapter. These
ladies change my views about this organization.
During the last decade, rapid social and other changes
occurred in Pakistan. The Girl Guides Association of Pakistan, taking into
serious consideration the successive changes and the role it has to play in the
development of girls and young women in Pakistan, created a committee which
consists of members of the Association holding key places. These members co-operate
with professionals and other experts when needed. They study the situation in
depth and send in their recommendations regarding the formation of the
programmed so that it applies to the needs of the girls and young women of today.
This association currently playing its vital role and
recently they came active in AJK. Madam Hanifa Khanum is trying to enroll
maximum girls in girls guide. She with her team focused to introduce practical
implementation of vision of PGGA in youth of AJK.
Good basic education
is a critical stepping stone for a country, such as Pakistan, working to build
a modern, market-based economy and to improve its people's lives. Education especially
for girls means more choices and more skills, higher wages and higher living
standards, and without it countries cannot compete in the global economy. But
education and training in Pakistan, despite recent economic progress, lag
behind other countries in the region, and the national literacy rate is only 30
percent. In the situation PGGA is active in propping up audacity in young girls
to be the best citizen and to change the country with our values.
PGGA is not only active in field of education but also they
are functioning in almost every ground of life as they are working in helping million
of girls to go to primary school and secondary school. They are helping to
prevent violence against women by arranging awareness sessions and awareness programs
which works to reduce violence. They helping to prevent sexual violence against
girls and women in conflict by working with the UN and other organizations to
increase the ability of work for country. There have been continuous
strives for social service projects conducted by the guide companies,
through which the dual purpose of service and learning by doing gets
accomplished.
The Association carries out awareness campaigns on
environmental protection, tree plantation, conservation of forests, pollution
control, promoting child rights, prevention of drug addiction, entrepreneurship
development for girls and women, educational and health issues.
Pakistan Girl Guides Association’s mission is to empower
girls and young women to develop their fullest potential to turn into
responsible citizens of the world and work for the betterment of their
communities.

Good Step from AJK PPOLICE
Good initiative from AJK PPOLICE
AJK police recently shoot a sms over the city for girls in
which they gave emergency numbers of lady police officers which will help the
girls of city a lot. Late but good step taken by AJK police but still girls
have insecurity that these numbers are of no use.
In my point of view we
should be optimistic and have trust in our Police Department.

FOR THE SAKE OF RESPECT (ANUM ABBASI)
Anum
abbasi a resident of Sangrpathara Dhirkot some 60 kilometres from Muzaffarabad was the student of Government
Post Graduate College for Women, Muzaffarabad, where she was enrolled in a BSc
programme.
She was very sensible and
decent girl. Boy named Muhammad Haris was bothering her since last month. She
told everything about Haris to her friends and class mates even she told her
friends that Haris is threatening her.
Anum didn't inform her family
about Haris because she assumes that if she would tell her family about this
guy they will stop her studies. This was only mistake she did
Anam was a brilliant student, and she wanted
to be something in life. She says she want to have good position in life.
After completing her
intermediate she took admission in Government Post Graduate College for Women Muzaffarabad
and aimed to be a student of University of AJk afterward. She was living in
University Girl’s Hostel. Haris Hashmi was bothering her for no reasons as she
refused him before.
Daughter of Eve has shoot
dead by crazy guy even she did not done anything wrong.
This is our request to
public that don’t consider her bad and please don gossip about this incident.
We need to educate our children on Islamic values. Moreover educate your children
that they should respect females which is lacking nowadays in our society.
GOD REST HER SOUL IN HEAVEN

A YOUNG BOY COMMITTED SUICIDE AFTER KILLING HER FEMALE FRIEND
MUZAFFARABAD: A young man named Haris committed suicide after he shoots dead his female friend here in Muzaffarabad on Tuesday
According to sources, Haris shot dead his 20 year old female
friend at CMH Road and later killed himself a few yards away. The girl is said
to a student of B.Sc.
The body was shifted to a Combined Military Hospital whereas the
investigation of the incident is underway.
People behavior
I was there at that moment. It was terrifying scene as there was blood
everywhere on the road but the most condemnable thing was people behavior.
Girl was dead and her body was lying on stairs. There was big crowd
around, nobody even tried to cover her but were clicking photos.
Same people were doing with boy too even he was little live but
nobody tried to take him hospital but were waiting for police to come. People
take these things lightly nowadays.
Why young people commit suicides
Today
when we are living in 2014, every boy and girl have different gadgets in their
hands which are misused. Suicide caused in result of failure in relationship
which seems in this case too. Wrong expectations and emotional decisions lead
to this. Relatives of people who attempt or commit suicide often blame
themselves or become very angry. They may see the suicide attempt as selfish.
However, people who try to commit suicide often mistakenly believe that they
are doing their friends and relatives a favor by taking themselves out of the
world.
About
80 per cent of young people who complete suicide told someone they intended to
kill themselves.
Things we should do
Education
is key. Talk to your kids about the dangers and responsibilities associated
with using cell phone and other gadgets. Tell them what acceptable and
unacceptable behavior is. Without defined guidelines, your youth could wind up
a victim.
Who
was your son talking to at 2:30 in the morning? Did you know someone was
sending your daughter explicit text messages? You could look through their
phone, however they will simply delete their call or text logs if they think
you are snooping.
Awareness and counseling sessions
Parents
should take care of their children. They should check them properly that what
are they doing or what are they going to do. Moreover schools and colleges must
arrange awareness and counseling sessions for student about the relationships.
We
should teach our youth on Islamic values but we always try to avoid the topic
of relationships between youngsters which is strictly banned in Islam.
ALLAH
Show
us right path. Ameen

Lets Name substandred Private Schools as Company
Education is essential
for every society and individual. The importance of education is
undeniable for every single person. Education plays such a rudimentary role on
our society that we cannot even imagine a life without it. Not only does, it help us develop
healthy surroundings but it also generates an advance community.
Today I was travelling
in local bus. Two females were traveling with me talking about the school,
opened by one of them.
One of them said! Why
are you opening your school at that place? We have already two schools in same
street. You should open it somewhere else because u can have batter strength there.
Other replied! In
market of clothes there are thousands shops, it doesn’t mean that they will
stop their business.
I was thinking our education system is just a business.
Anybody can start it at anywhere in market as that lady does.
These days if a person
has some amount to invest them go for opening a school of their own that has
the ‘private’ school’s tag which let it attract students and thus fees. There
are such schools as well whose owners are not that much educated but have opened
the schools for the reason that they had the sum required to put it into
running state. They simply get a small house on rent and hire a few teachers and think
that’s what is necessary to start a school.
My friend, who is
dealing in admin of one of street school, told me that a teacher of science
subject taught his students the wrong theory. And after few months he left the
school and new teacher continue the subject. In annual exams when student
answer that wrong theory in paper, teacher crossed it. His parents came to
school with notebook that you guys taught wrong things to students, and then
crossed it in exams. Principal give the excuse that the teacher who taught this
is not with them anymore. New teacher didn't check what he taught she just crossed the answer and reward that student with extra marks. This is our standard
of education.
These so called
educational institutions lack the quality of education that a good private school should
provide and in fact if you get a chance to observe students who come from these
schools, you might not spot a difference between them and those students who
study in government educational institutions. Rather government institutions’
students are much better than them.
Parents at their own
level should get aware as to where they should send their children. We may not able to stop people
doing that, but of course we can discourage them by not opting for those
substandard schools. It is also worth mentioning here that some schools though
don’t have big names are really working hard but their image is also getting
spoiled by the rest of the schools that fall under their category
Government should take serious
action about these areas of concern.
Because school is institute where student get knowledge,
learn and progress not the company where they provide best service to get more
profit.
